![]() ![]() Wow! The shower area was formerly a vault and still had the original hinge holes from the safe door. The shower was astounding with the rainfall shower head and the four additional jets. ![]() The bathroom was big enough to have a party in. ![]() Let me just say that no detail is overlooked. We arrived late Friday afternoon and were warmly welcomed by Amanda. My husband and I just returned home from the Clock Tower Inn after spending two nights in this charming historic inn. Kitchener-Waterloo Regional Airport Hotels.Hotels near Bear Creek Golf & Country Club. The photos on the hotel’s website are extremely deceiving. It took us about 10 minutes to walk down to the beach, but the portion of the beach closest to the hotel is rocky and inaccessible. ![]() The hotel is next to some kind of museum, in front of a sketchy park, and a block from the Mission. The only redeeming quality about the room was the gas fireplace. The filter on the air conditioner looked like it hadn’t been changed in years. The paint around the doorknob in the bathroom was filthy. The room was TINY, the bed and pillows were hard as a rock, there is no fridge, and even though it smelled like bleach it still didn’t seem clean. An overwhelming smell of bleach assaulted our noses the minute we opened the door to our room. Once we checked in we headed to our room and the hallway leading to our room was extremely dark and dingy. The Mexican food restaurant “attached” to the hotel wasn’t very nice and we could not access the restaurant from the hotel, which was one of reasons I booked this hotel. There was a vagrant in the lobby on the couch watching TV. The hotel is not all bright and cheery as it appears on the website, it is actually very dark and dated. There is street parking, but it’s a busy street and I didn’t feel comfortable leaving our car on the street. The cons: As soon as we arrived the experience was frustrating- this hotel does not have its own parking lot, there is a public parking lot next to the hotel that only has about 20 spots. The pros: Walking distance to downtown Ventura which is full of bars, restaurants, and shops as well as the fairgrounds and The Ventura Majestic. I was severely disappointed when we arrived. I booked this hotel for a one-night stay for my husband’s birthday based on the photos on their website. ![]()
